Frances: Good morning, I'm Frances Figueroa and I'm here for my appointment with Ms. Sandra Bates.

Karolyn: Ah, yes. Good morning! Ms. Bates will be here shortly. Can I offer you something to drink while you wait?

Frances: No, thank you. But do you have a phone that I could use?

Karolyn: Certainly, we also have a fax machine if you need it as well.

Frances: No, but thank you. I only need to use the phone.

Karolyn: Then follow me. The phone is this way.

Frances: Thank you very much.

(A few minutes later...)

Frances: Thank you again for the help, miss.

Karolyn: You're welcome. Is there anything else I can do for you?

Frances: Oh, yes. Do you happen to know how far the station is from here?

Karolyn: It's about two miles from here but it only takes ten minutes by taxi. Can I get one ready for you?

Frances: Yes, please. Could you suggest a time for the station?

Karolyn: I can check the times for you and let you know after your appointment. Ms. Bates is ready to see you now. Follow me, please.

~No, it's my first visit.

-I hope you enjoy it here.

~I'm sure I will.

-And... er, is the hotel alright?

~Yes, it's very comfortable.

-I'm glad. So, do you have much time here in the U.S.? Are you staying long?

~No, I have to go back tomorrow morning.

-That's a shame! You'll have to come back again.

~I would love to.

-So what time's your flight tomorrow?

~In the evening, 6:35.

-Well, I can get you a taxi if you like, to get you there in good time.

~Yes, if it's not too much trouble, please.

-No problem at all. Was it a good flight today?

~No, it wasn't actually.

-Oh, I see. How was the flight then?

~It was raining- quite hard. There was a lot of turbulence.

-Then I hope you have a more pleasant flight tomorrow.
